May 6th 1988: Who will win the Iran – Iraq war?

13 Aug

This was one of the questions which was asked from a panel of distinguished experts on the 6th of May, 1988 in Washington DC.

The panel was also asked, what does winning look like and if neither side is going to win the war, how will the war end?

These are questions which would have been very difficult to answer.

The war actually ended three and half months after this conference, on the 20th of August 1988. Iran and Iraq both accepted UN resolution 598.

The replies are interesting and informative.

I do consider all the concepts you’ve offered on your post.
They are very convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts
are very short for starters. Could you please prolong them a little from subsequent time?
    Thank you for the post.

I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog.
It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant
for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a designer to create your theme?
    Outstanding work!
