Israel emerges as energy power

For years it was a joke that Moses chose the only part of the Middle East which has no oil or gas as a new home for the enslaved Jewish people in Egypt.

Its no longer a joke. There have been major gas finds in Israel. As one example, Tamar, which is one of the gas fields recently discovered, is expected to add 1% to Israel’s GDP this year alone.
